Three Israelis were killed and a further three injured in a terrorist attack near the West Bank settlement of Ariel on Tuesday morning.

According to the Israeli Defence Forces, a Palestinian terrorist stabbed a security guard near the entrance to the Ariel Industrial Park.

The terrorist then stabbed three people at a nearby petrol station, before fleeing and crashing a stolen vehicle, then stabbing another person and stealing another vehicle which he crashed into traffic before being shot dead by soldiers and armed civilians.

The terrorist has been named by the Palestinian Authority Health Ministry as 18-year-old Muhammed Souf, from the nearby town of Hares.

Souf reportedly worked in the industrial zone and thus had a valid permit to enter the site.

Magen David Adom, Israel’s emergency services system, said that a 36-year-old security guard was among those seriously hurt in the attack.

Security officials are probing how the terrorist managed to flee after stabbing the guard at the first scene.

Two men in their forties who were stabbed near the petrol station were killed, while another man in his fifties was killed after being rammed by the terrorist in one of the stolen cars.

A man in his forties and a 35-year old man are among the seriously injured.
