50 years of LFILabour Friends of Israel (LFI) was founded in October 1957, at a public rally at the Labour Party Conference. Anthony Greenwood MP was appointed its first Chair. Throughout our history, we have sought to develop understanding within the Labour movement of Israel, the Middle East Peace Process and the UK’s role in the region, and to strengthen links between Labour politicians and activists and their Israeli and Palestinian counterparts. As we approach our 50th anniversary in 2007, we want to hear from all those who have been involved with LFI and would like to share memories of our delegations, events and other activities. A selection of these will be chosen for publication on this website. To contribute, please submit information using the form below. |
